  • We went on a nice crisp fall weekday and practically had the zoo to ourselves. We loved it. It is a perfect small city zoo for your family. Tigers, lions, fish, leopards, apes...it has everything. We ...  more »

  • The price for this zoo is a steal, let's start with that! The selection of animals for Syracuse was surprisingly large. But what really made this enjoyable was seeing how well groomed and healthy the "wildlife" is!! Perfect size zoo to see all the animals in one day without making it feel like a chore. Shows a great deal of appreciation for those involved to fund the adoption of these animals and the community around it! I look forward to coming back to visit all the friends we made at this Zoo!
  • The Syracuse Zoo keeps on improving their exhibits and has friendly, informative staff. The animals all appear to be very well taken care of and are usually pretty easy to spot. It's a great place to spend a few hours and a relatively cheap destination. If you live in the area I would recommend purchasing a zoo membership, it pays for itself rather quickly, especially if you have children.
  • Was hot... fun family experience... I wished there were another one or two bathroom and drink locations. I separated from my group and missed seeing a wolf snap a groundhogs neck but that's not the zoo's fault. Great Father's Day with my dad and my children.
  • We had a great experience at the zoo. We went as soon as they opened and were able to see most of the animals eating. Lots of staff showing and explaining information about the animals.
  • Best Zoo in the area. A Great place for families. My family goes about 1 every month or so. Would go more if it was closer. Even better it is owned by the city so it is a local place. A clean facility and staff always are willing to provide answers and education. Also renovations are always happening to improve the Zoo.
