  • Piney run is a nice quiet place to spend the day fishing or simply walking the trails. Clean and not over crowded.  more »
  • Very nice place to kayak. Water calm except when a motor boat passes. Lots of little coves yo explore and stop for a picnic. You must be 18 to rent kayaks, if your teens want to go, you get to go too!...  more »
  • This park is nice in the off season, when they close the gates and you walk in. You can use the paved roads to bike and push a stroller. In season, it gets crowded and they are lacking in paved trails...  more »

  • Gorgeous lake and about 5 miles worth of trails surrounding it. Plenty of picnic areas and open spaces that are great for children and dogs. Boat rentals, including kayaks and canoes. The in-season price for non-county residents is a bit high ($10), and it's worth getting a season pass if you're planning on making many return trips. There are some trails across the lake you can access without paying to enter the park; there's a parking area at the end of Martz Road in Eldersburg.
  • Great park! Lots of benches paddle boating nice walking paths and grills. This is a great place for a casual day or a party! One of our favorite destinations in the warmer seasons
  • Love it here! We've been kayaking three times and hiking twice. By no means is this the Appalachian trail, but it's 5 stars because of the fact that it's a great place of its quality relative to its location and you should go if you live in the area. Hope I said that right! Friendly, pretty and there was even a bald eagle there a while back.
  • The park was nice but why is it only open on week days when most people are working and are not able to enjoy the park.
  • Way over priced. $10 to enter and $8 to launch a boat. Ridiculous.
