This was our first time camping here and we had a very enjoyable experience. We were tent camping and stayed in Loop A. We had a perfect spot for a tent in #25. I thought Loop A was more for the tent ...  more »

Nice state park with small camp area and pool. A short walk to the river where you will find a few scattered people on the sand. Not a crowed beach, a great place for family and pets. Also grills with pavilions, children's playground and historic residence to visit. Bring your bike, hiking shoes and kyack. You will not be disappointed.

Relaxing and peaceful experience. The park is well cared for. They offer plenty of kids activities and a pretty good trail system. Our neighbors even caught 2 catfish at the local river. There are 2 washer and dryers that only cost $1.00 each. They have ice ($3.00) and wood ($6.00) available.

What a great park! We camped for the weekend, played in the water, did a ranger program, rode bikes, and had a wonderful stay. Will definitely be back.

Lots of room. The park is clean, and there are places to hang out on the beach by the river. Options for walking or biking. Day parking is kind of steep (5$) when compared to other parks nearby that offer similar amenities. Also, I've yet to visit the park when staff were working.

We went for the steam engine and tractor pull. Our family always enjoys visiting this park. We also had fun looking for the geocaches in this park!
