  • Started out as a very cold morning. We stayed at Supai Motel, which is located in the famous 66 highway in Arizona. We took the road around 6am and got to Hualapai Hilltop around 8am. After that, we s...  more »

  • No doubt weather of 2008 have seriously changed the beautiful natural pool extending to the foot of the Havasu Falls. Difficult to navigate based on memories of a previous visit in 2005. Not what regret coming back, however, the magic of the place has not disappeared. Always possible to see, or at least to imagine the caregiver, Pocahontas bathing in its Milky waters Sun and fatigue. And if the weather were not the only threat to this small paradise? I thank sincerely the Amerindians, custodians of this place, have been able to preserve its access restrictions, namely a long walk of approach and the need to reside in the only hotel available that you will have taken care to book several months to the advance. These constraints, which are not also for those who love to walk in exceptional landscapes, are indeed the only protection against mass tourism. However, this situation is fragile so it seems easy to turn this site into tourist trap by completely transforming the village of Supai in terms of catering and hotel resources, all complemented by a serious strengthening of Shuttle helicopters in frequency and capacity. I will admit that these fears are currently based on no basis other than a somewhat pessimistic view on my part. Readers of this review probably will mind not, although cela conduit to move unnecessarily the visit of this exceptional site.

  • gorgeous! but you have to hike it (about 10 miles) and get a reservation online. it’s considered a sacred place for the native americans so they are very stickler about reservations
  • Most beautiful of the 4 waterfalls! Easy hike from Supai Village. I made it.
  • Definitely a trip everyone should make once. It is absolutely beautiful there, go to the falls earlier in the morning to beat the heat, be respectful of the villagers as it is their home we are wandering through. Bring plenty of water/snacks and do your research.
  • Please please if you are like me and have this place on your bucket list or list of places you’d love to hike- do some research before going on the horrific animal abuse that happens here! The pack horses are treated in a way that I NEVER would have imagined as being okay in the United States. Your money is going to animal abusers if you choose to hike this trail!
  • Very beautiful, it is a long hike, but i think that the hike is worth it. The reservations can get pricey though.
