  • We rented a 3 bedroom condo here at Sunset Village and it was amazing! It was very convenient to the beach and a lot of amazing restaurants. The complex also had 2 pools that were never crowded and ha...  more »

  • We have played this course a couple of times now on our trips down. Each time was a fun round. Conditions were pretty good with smooth fast greens and decent fairways. This is a very woman friendly co...  more »

  • Fairways excellent, green and fringe excellent. Tee boxes excellent. There was not a bad spot on this course. Gentlemen at bag drop off was a little snappy but I only had to interact with him for 30 seconds. Excellent scenery with pines throughout course and not many water hazards. One of the very best in the north myrtle area. Well worth the $39.
  • Regrettably we only played 9 holes here on Saturday, 20 May and my experience could not have been better. I found this track by trying to find somewhere to spend my $200 in gift cards (painful) and I could not be happier with the service I received. It was late on Friday afternoon and the person in the shop (from PA and used to work for the PGA stores) was extremely nice, helpful, and honest. I brought 9 players over there for an emergency 9 holes and immediately wished we played the whole trip here. The fairways and greens were FANTASTIC. Some of the tees were struggling but if you have to focus on something greens, then fairways, then tees in my book. We played the nine holes that has three 3's, three 5's and three 4's and they were all GREAT. The staff was great too!!
  • I had heard that a lot of golf courses are going out of business in the Grand Strand area, and after playing Sandpiper Bay, I am shocked that it is still open. Terrible experience from arrival to departure. I don't play a lot of golf because of my extremely hectic work schedule, but when I do, I appreciate friendly service and friendly greens. I got neither. From the pro to the bartender to the grounds keepers, everyone was rude. Course was in horrible shape and the pace was frustratingly slow, exactly opposite of the enjoyable, stress free round I was hoping to have. Will never play the course again. Here is to hoping new ownership comes in soon like the starter was telling us about.
  • If I could give zero stars, I would. Last August, I called a week in advance to ask if our group could play two groups of 5. The pro at the time did not hesitate and booked us for the tee times. Our group arrived the next week and the toy pro (different guy) decided himself to breakup our group into 3 groups. We explained that we called a week ago, but the toy pro was not too proud, rude, and not going to change. They did not even bother to call us about the change. We called down to another very friendly course (Brick Landing) and much better course and they were very accomodating to our group and made some good money in the bar! I have played many courses around the country and Sandpiper Bay is absolutely the worst all around place I have been. If you are considering a tee time at SB, don't do it, you will regret it.
  • Had a great experience from the moment of the bag drop the practice areas were great the people were nice and friendly the greens and Fairways were well taken care of and Ace kept everything on track. Best course of the week.
