We have been to Apple Holler multiple times for their restaurant. We love it. Beyond the restaurant is there children's area. Which you have to pay to get in. I didn't mind so much. However a couple o... read more »
Heavily commercial and stuffy! Pay $20 per person for a tiny bag of apples (~10 apples)? Not us! Or pay the $8 "park" entrance fee and watch pigs race to the dinner table. We frequent apple orchards in Wisconsin/Illinois/Indiana and the best orchards charge for apples by weight. Try Epelgaarden (near Madison, WI) or County Line Orchard (Hobart, IN).
We love everything there is about Apple Holler!! The atmosphere is a delight. The food is always delicious. The smiles are plentiful. It just gives you a whole complete down to earth good eating experience, be it breakfast, or lunch, or dinner!!! Its our favorite place to stop in and have a bite. Thanks for all the special extra steps you take in making it a special treat every time we stop in. We SO enjoy all the seasonal touches too!!
Breakfast buffet was great! A little pricey but delicious! Had a lot of fun looking at all the unique items for sale in the store and the bakery. There is a lot to do outside as well and had a lot of fun looking at all of things that are available to do. Expect to spend a good amt. of money as things are rather expensive here.
Apple Holler is family friendly! The variety of the food is amazing. The corn bread is delicious! The kids loved the Chicken Tender meal. The variety for adults from ribs to wraps is amazing. The salad bar has everything you could ever want! Friday, I had the delicious Lobster Bisque soup with my meal! The atmosphere is so relaxing and enjoyable!
I've spent the last 20 minutes looking through all the reviews in here to pick up suggestions for other apple picking orchards because I'm somewhat new to the area. We did go here the last two years for apple picking just because of how close to home it is, but this place is simply way too expensive. $20 for 1/2 peck on top of admission and parking fees to do anything else. I'm giving 3 stars, though, because the restaurant and store are well done and seem to be open all year. Just don't come here for apple picking unless you have small kids to entertain.
