  • Loved Fairy Stone State Park. We stayed in one of the cabins and loved it. Could see the lake from our front porch. Loved looking for all the pennies in our cabin as well as going to collect fairy sto...  read more »
  • Beautiful park; we did the ranger program on finding Fairy Stones, then paid for a workshop to make a necklace from what we found. There is a beach/swimming area (extra charge) that was very popular (...  read more »

  • Really nice place to take your family. Great camping area and swimming. Camping area is pretty high priced for camping but still a nice area.
  • Cold shower, meant a lot at forty something degrees after having to pay extra money for a third motorcycle! Tent camped. Typical VA park.... Pay for this pay extra for that... Don't expect much. Wish I could have afforded to actually see the rest of the dannn place. But was afraid of what that might cost. Far as I know. Motorcycles leave no footprint compared to the campers. And still fit in one parking spot!
  • This is a great family place to spend the day swimming cooking out or rent a paddle boat the staff is friendly and on weekends they have activities for the kids with the rangers there are cabin rentals camp sites all round great place
  • Campground is awesome nice trails. VA park rules and rangers ruin it. Apparently kids can wade in lake even with parental supervision - about the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Head Park Ranger harassed us several times - ruined trip for my daughter's and their friends. I suggest going down the road to the federal campground where they at least have a little bit of sense.
  • Pretty views, good place to wlswim
