See an array of model trains in action at Choo Choo Barn, home to a variety of tracks running through a recreated model of the local countryside. Head to the facility, housed in a classic Amish-style country barn, and marvel at 150 props and figures, all hand-built, as well as the 22 different trains that zip back and forth around the track. Look closely and you'll recognize many local landmarks in miniature form, including barns, railroad stations, and more. Don't miss watching the videos offered in the museum, which document the process of building the model trains. They will give you a bit more background information on the mechanisms at work. • OMG, this place is just too adorable!! We loved every second of being here and would visit again. Totally amazing display, 22 working train sets, lots of easter egg scenes hidden within the scenery...

  • I could go on and on and on about how fabulous this train display is, but I would just be repeating everyone else. Just make sure you give yourself plenty of time to look at everything and to walk...

  • Love this place!! SO much to see, such great detail! It gets dark every 10 minutes and "stars" light up the sky, and everything looks so different! We spent a good hour here walking around the set twice and pointing out different things to each other. They have 2 scavenger hunt lists for those needing more structure, but we just liked wandering and finding our own favorite things.
  • Very nice experience! We took our grandkids on a Friday morning, not very busy when we got there. We had to go around twice there was so much to see. Very inexpensive way to spend time with your family. Clean store, good parking and a very nice helpful staff. I absolutely recommend going here!
  • Loved the Choo Choo Barn! What an amazing model train setup. Our whole family loved it. Very affordable and totally worth it. I loved how they incorporated local sights, like Dutch Wonderland and the Strasburg Railroad. And turning to night every 10 minutes was really cool. The kids liked that you could activate some of the trains, like the Dutch Wonderland monorail.
  • Childhood memories at any age! A train layout with 22 operating trains. They have animated figures and vehicles to see. They have a small gift shop. It’s open Mon-Sun 10-4 pm. Parking in front of store with wheelchair accessible. Close to all of the other train attractions. They have a scavenger hunt plus you can find 61 Santa’s! They could use a step for small kids. It takes 1-2 hours to see. There’s a child in each of us!
  • Great place to stop with children and adults while in the area for Strasburg railroad or whatever you maybe in the area for but I found not worth the trip for just here. Enter into a small gift shop where you pay admission to go into the display. Was offered a discount for military but no first responder. The layout was pretty nice, a good amount to see but expected to see more trains. The area between the wall and display table is extremely tight. Would be very hard to get around the display area if in a wheelchair. It’s even hard for other guest to walk around you to keep going. I expected the display to be a lot larger than it really was. Cost is $8.50 per adult and $5.00 per child. It took us about 15-20 minutes to get around the display with a room full of people. Parking is tight, there’s a larger lot on the property up to the right of the strip mall. Please see my pictures!
