  • After hiking quite a few "moderately difficult" trails that had steep grades, many tree roots and tons of boulders, we were looking for a trail that was relaxing and easy. This place filled the bill. ...  more »
  • Not a large area but great network of trails. I use it for walks with my dog Alfred. Most routes are short enough for small children. Bonus is the gnome home and free dog treats by the maple sugaring ...  more »
  • There were nice trails through 79 acres of dense woods - easy trails for kids. Don't forget bug spray if you visit in the warmer months. Not breath-taking, but pleasant stroll through nature.  more »

  • A delightful place to walk in the woods. The trails loop, so there are lots of choices for walking as much or as little as you would like. Soft pine needle covered surfaces, lots of roots across the paths. Pet friendly.
  • A great hike with the a young kid he did the whole thing no problem!
  • Excellent hike, very pretty. My dog loved it, and we were both pleasantly surprised by the gnomes.
  • This is a super chill place to hike. It's a great introduction for toddlers.
  • I've snow shoed and hiked this trail. It's beautiful in everysingle season! I would say it's an intermediate trail, not to steep of an incline. Very beautiful (private ly owned field) at the top.

Where to stay in Stowe

Where you should stay in Stowe depends on why you’re visiting. If you plan to ski or snowboard and want to minimize your travel time between the gondola and your bed, opt for a place at the base of the resort or as close to it on Route 108 as possible. Look for ski-and-stay packages to save money on the combined cost of lift tickets and accommodations. If skiing or snowboarding is just part of the plan or not on the itinerary at all, stay right in town. You'll find a range of accommodation types, including charming inns and bed and breakfasts, and hotels and motels that serve both visitors on group trips and independent travelers.
