  • We were a little skeptical at first...driving up to the mountain and then back into the woods along a two-track...didn't know what to expect at all. But we were welcomed by Randy and his dog Bubba and...  read more »
  • Our family (3 generations) went on 10/8/16. The experience was awesome for all of us! We had to stop after a couple of hours because we found so many crystals! Our son and family drove, but my husband and I flew...we had to buy two more suitcases! We took 75 lbs of crystals home with us! I was heartbroken at the large formations we had to leave behind. We are moving soon and will definitely be back with the truck! Tracy was wonderful. She helped us go through our loot when we took a break. She is so enthusiastic and genuinely excited about crystals and what we found. Randy was great. He handed us some nice clusters he found while walking toward us! It was fun chatting with him. Becky was wonderful, too. We only talked to her on the phone, but she was so pleasant, we knew we wanted to go to their mine. It was such a wonderful experience, I can't wait to go back with more of our kids. Tracy said they have a Facebook page and people post pictures of their crystals there. We have yet to look at it, but if you are on the fence, check it out.
  • I was there yesterday 9/6/2016 and had a fantastic time. I'll admit it was hard work and hot but it was the probably as close as you might get to actually going in to a mine. Found some very nice rocks loaded with crystals and a lot of points of various sizes. Singles, doubles and clusters. Visited two other mines which were ok, but I feel this mine was the best overall. Primitive with a port-a-potty but that's all you need when digging for crystal's. Becky was very nice and informative. She has lot's of knowledge and will make sure you know what you're doing and what to look for before she turns you loose for a day of digging in the dirt and finding crystals. If you go, pay attention and have fun! Happy digging!
  • Me and my mom's first time digging was a great experience. We found lots of crystals of all sizes. They were easy to find. The people are very sweet and hospitable. They taught us how to dig and what to look for when looking for crystals. They gave us a large umbrella to take to our site to cover us from the sun. We had a picnic table with a large umbrella to eat lunch on and very clean out door restroom. I was pleased. We will be back for more great experiences. Thanks Sweet Surrender!!!
  • We had been to 2 different mines on our outings. Wegner mines were a bit touristy but SS Mines were far more authentic. Actually digging in unturned dirt. It was a bit harder soil but the rewards were much much better. The staff were great. They provided all tools and water free. You can tell they want your experience not your money. They have a late night dig on full moon nights. We didn't opt for that but with this crew I guarantee you would have a blast.
  • Thus place is awsone, the people are very friendly and helpful! I will be returning and telling friends. Thank you for a great day of digging.
