Delve into the wine-making process at Becker Vineyards, a working facility where you can also indulge in the finished products. Housed in a 19th-century farmhouse originally built by German immigrants to the area, today the winery features an array of French-style varieties and blends. Join a guided tour of the vineyard to learn about the development and techniques of the industry, the grapes themselves, and the estate grounds. Explore the complex, including storage rooms, barrels, and, of course, the tasting room, where you can sign up to have a sip of the end result. Alternatively, just order a glass, kick back, and enjoy a gourmet meal at the on-site restaurant. Becker does a great job with the tasting room. Their staff is friendly and informative. You have a choice of more than a dozen wines ranging from dessert to heavier reds. The $20 cost for six (technic... more »

This winery is BEAUTIFUL. It was super busy because it was a holiday weekend, but we still had a great time. Madison did a wonderful job explaining the wine and making us feel comfortable. The $20 is with it for the wine tasting AND the take home glass. Will definitely be going back next time we are in town.

Becker's has a beautiful "campus" to sip and enjoy wine at. However, the tasting leaves much to be desired. At $20 (most other wineries are $15-$18) it's a little steep for 6 tastings. Their portfolio is OK, but don't expect to be blown away by anything. I recommend using this as your last stop, skip the tasting, grab a glass of the Res Viognier, and enjoy the view.

The vineyard is absolutely beautiful! Well-kept and warm and welcoming! The wine tasting is worth the $20 price as the wine varietals are all unique and impressive. The staff is extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable! Take the vineyard tour while you're there. They have live music on the weekends.

Biggest rip off! There are so many other and better vineyards in the area you must try. But Becker is a rip off. We went with a group - paid $20.00 per person for the wine tasting of 6 tiny samples. Apparently the Becker family don't trust their employees to pour freely. Each bottle we sampled had a pourer attached to the bottled that stops pouring after a certain amount is poured into the glass. Not only was the amount poured small but the over-rated wine was bad. Not one single wine we tasted was worth the price. If you don't mind paying a high price for a bad wine this is definitely the place to waste your time.

We have visited twice in the last week - taking different friends for tasting. We are all from Michigan and we have really enjoyed the tasting and appreciated the friendly, knowledgeable staff. Janet helped us both times and we were really impressed she remembered our first visit. She is so much fun. If we find more friends, we'll take them there for a great time and great tasting wine.
