Snow Mountain at Stone Mountain Park Reviews
We visited Snow Mountain with friends from MS. This is a fun activity for all ages, but it is a little rough for us older folks(parents). My son loved it though. The big steep family ride is awesome! ... more »
Just to give you a little background our group had the following ages: 17, 18, 25 (me), 46, 52. I had a blast at this snow mountain/snow tubing. We are from Florida so this was exciting for us to be a... more »
We were disappointed to find that it was nothing like it advertised. On the website it talked about making a snowman and having accessories to use and there wasn't any. You couldn't even attempt a dec... more »
Where to start? Price for entry is reasonable as they charge per car and not per person, so it's a flat $15 no matter how many people you have, but the costs don't stop there. If you want to see the monument that seriously shouldn't get as many tourists coming out to see it as it does, it costs you an additional $40 per person. The main attraction where all the people were at was the food, which is basically the only thing here to do besides look at an etching of the wrong side of a civil war monument dedicated to the side that lost that was used by the KKK for years - side note: they still try to use it. They were blowing snow while I was there - can't imagine how you make "snow" when it's 80 degrees outside. There is tons of food and candy shops and a very very small museum in a hallway which takes less than 2 minutes to see. This part of the experience wasn't great for the price. There are other things to do nearby, but it still feels like you're in a city with 99% of the trails being cemented. They also have a 100 year old watermill, but they feed water to it through a pipe, instead of using the water right beside it. This is a decent place to see once, but really isn't very impressive. I wouldn't suggest it or be back. This is also the smallest "mountain" (it's really just a large hill) I've ever seen. It does make for an easy hiking and walking experience though.
Ya I loved the sky ride ,snow zone and new little Christmas tree act .. my kid enjoyed a lot. But 4 star is that since weather ain’t good it was all raining while we went there ,we didn’t get place to take shelter . All the restaurants are crowded with people leaving us drenched in the rain.
This was an unexpected stop we may have some through Georgia. I had no idea what I was in for. I loved every minute of it unfortunately didn't get to experience everything because I didn't have enough time. It is an all-day Adventure especially if you're climbing the mountain. My advice is to make sure your phones are charged and have a flashlight because you may be coming down after Dark. Don't rely on your phone flashlight because with all the picture taking, your battery may be dead.
I can not believe that I did not know about this place. We have been going to ATL at least once a year since we have been in Central FL and just found this place. We loved it. In the winter, they have the snow tubing and other winter themed stuff. it looked great and it was fun. It is expensive to use the tram up to the top, so we hiked down. We were rushing to get down and get to our tubing appointment, so we did not get to enjoy the the top of the rock as much as we wanted. Check out the photos I am posting, these are just a couple of some amazing shots we took. Loved it and want to go back, so we can hike some more. We have come back and this time for some hiking... It was so tiring, but it was so cool. For the first time, we hiked up, spent some time at the top and came back down. Loved it! Check out the videos.
Stone Mountain Park really is a great place to just spend an entire day with friends and/or family. There are lots and lots of fun activities and attractions that parents and kids alike are sure to enjoy. The scenic views are absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. There is good food and nice souvenirs available for purchase, of course. The skyride is breathtaking and so much fun!
