  • This is a driving tour about nine miles long. You can stop and go at your own pace. There are a few places that you shouldn't skip and those are noted in the park brochure. Some of the views are beaut...  read more »
  • An "out-of-the-way historical site, but well worth seeing. I'd been there, as well as Fort Ticonderoga, as a child, so I enjoyed seeing it through my newly retired eyes! We basically had the place to ...  read more »
  • I hadn't realized anything about the battle that took place in Saratoga, 1777. I was recently on a fall leaf-peeping trip and my guests and I decided this would be a perfect venue for that as well as ...  read more »
  • Great place to hike, have some quiet time or learn about the history of Saratoga. The park guides will give you tons of great info on the revolutionary war, General Burgoyne, the surrender of the British forces and more. You can walk the battlefields and get some real perspective on what occurred on this historic land. At the main building, there is even more to see and do. This includes some fabulous dress up opportunities for the kids, as well as a digital display that explains how the British and American forces moved about during a long conflict. Put in for a couple hours if you want to get the most of your trip. Also great for history classes and or scout groups.
  • The Battlefield is a year round destination if you enjoy the outdoors. Winter x-country skiing on the trails; birdwatching in fall and spring; beautiful sunsets; excellent cycling on low traffic and well maintained park roads; as well as hiking and horse riding trails. Surrounded by history as you explore the battlefield that helped to turn the tide of the American Revolution.
  • I LOVE history, so I'm a bit biassed...Beautiful park. Great visitor's center and a nice little gift shop. They also offer a great app with audio for a driving tour.
  • The visitors center has good displays and historical videos. The sites are well maintained and have good informational posts. It's a great day trip.
  • The Visitor Guide was so nice and helpful. Today is the Centenary of Saratoga Historic National Park and the entrance was free. We come here every year with our 4 children.
