This was not a "float". We paddled the full 6 miles and had to get out of the boat repeatedly to drag the raft because the water was so low. Sore for 3 days. Will not return. When we contacted them an... more »

Horrible experience with service. The people were nice but they charge more for you to use your own kayak or canoe because "they have to unload their gear to load yours." I was left to put my own kayak on the bus and not the trailers on both shuttle rides, so I paid for service I didn't receive. Also they had people patrolling the camp grounds well past midnight shining their headlights into our campsite every hour or so. If your looking to be in nature and be left alone, do not go to this campsite.

The Huzzah has been my family's go to for a guaranteed weekend of easy water fun for a long time. My kids learned to kayak there when they were young and still like to return as young adults. Water is always clear. Plenty of spots for little ones to enjoy time in the water without over-stressing their parents with the current. Plenty of family sites. Plenty of Zoo sites for the party atmosphere. Tried other places...most don't have the extent of water accessibility for campers the Huzzah has. Rented 4 kayaks and a campsite for 2 this weekend and paid about $150. Not outrageous and online registration went smoothly. Made checkin simple. Downside? The playground is minimal and not shaded so pretty hot for summer days. The staff was pleasant and helpful even though it was a high volume weekend...except the man left on for late check-ins and firewood sales Sat night. He was not very amiable. We will be back multiple times, no worries there.

We have stayed here the past two years and loved our first year. This year we thought that all the guys who work the parking lots to bus driver and the new guy who checks the camp sites were very friendly, However any time we had to go to the office we did not think the office ladies were very polite. Our paperwork was all mixed up. They even told us we had not paid for our shuttle service WHEN WE DID!! The girl who helped us did not give us our shuttle pass. If you decide to stay here just make sure you get all ur passes u paid for at the time of payment really other then that it was a good trip but not sure if we will go back again next year.

It is nice for a adult weekend but I wouldn't take my kids not very family friendly. You should go to Bass River Resort just down the road a bit.😀

This is the kind of place that will overcharge you and then snicker behind your back about it. The "hotel" doesn't have the most basic things like towels, pillows or even sheets! It gets 2 stars because the grounds are okay. If you're reading this, go elsewhere.
