  • Worth the trip. Don't drive it if lots of snow. You'll regret it. A true tourist attraction, but I was still impressed despite it being crowded.  more »
  • So relaxing and warm. Enjoyed the springs at night and it was. Beautiful, especially when the moon came out. Would recommend to any adult at night and kids during day.  more »
  • The drive there was very nice. Lots of beautiful snow and aspen trees. Arrived at the springs, our driver Dan with The Hot Springs Shuttle walked us down and explained about the warming/changing hut, ...  more »

  • This place is phenomenal!! Beautiful outdoor hot springs pools with a magnificent view of the surrounding nature. There are clean bathrooms and an heated changing cabin near the pools. $15 per person (CASH ONLY) for however many hours you can stand the heat is well worth it here! Adults only after dark because the park becomes clothing optional at that time (which I always take advantage of when I visit). There are also little cabins and lodging you can rent, but beware that the weekends get booked up for months ahead of time, especially in the winter.
  • A group of us checked it out this evening. We paid $5 more for it being a holiday weekend, but it was absolutely worth it! You aren't getting high end spa here, you're getting rustic and simple, so if you want the bells and whistles, it's not the place. It is cash (or checks) only and if you are going after dark, I'd highly recommend a flashlight or headlamp. Once your eyes adjust to the dark, it's not bad. It is clothing optional after dark and a lot of people take advantage, so just keep the light off the pools. Also, take a bottle of water with you. The pools themselves were wonderful! Most were quite hot, but there were a couple of cold pools to cool off in. It's very dark at night and when it's clear, you can see a ton of stars! It's a great place to relax, just do your homework and know what you're getting into before going and you'll be fine.
  • Hidden gem! I've been to several hot springs in Colorado but none compares to Strawberry. It's tucked back from civilization enough to feel off the grid. The natural beauty that surrounds the springs is breathtaking, especially at sunset. There are different temp pools based on how much spring water flows into them. The cold spring flows past the pools and if you get too warm you can take a dip. The cabins are quaint with match-lit gas lights and the shared bathrooms are new and clean. By spending a night in the cabins - you also get hot spring access before and after guests leave. Just beware, clothing optional after dark.
  • The pools are very natural feeling with stone linings, not swimming pools like some other hot springs. Full nudity allowed and common after dark. Alcohol is not allowed and will be confiscated if you try to bring it into the hot springs. We went on a full moon and it lit up the pools, but often it will be too dark to see and a headlamp or flashlight is suggested. Bring a towel because it gets very cold on the walk back to the parking lot. There may be a line to get in on busy days as they limit the number of cars entering the parking lot.
  • Having grown up here in the 80s / 90s strawberry hot springs was always wonderful part of Steamboat. Excited to show six out of town guests the Springs we arrived at about eight pm. knowing the park closed at midnight that giving us plenty of time. James “the manager” said that the road was now closed so we could not enter the pool all while many others were still in the pools and the park remained opened. At that point we tried to leave we were told that we had to wait in the long line of cars that were having a hard time leaving because of the snow. I then asked James if we could please pay and enter the pools, he said if we went in he would have us arrested for trespassing. He turned out to be a total Dick, the other friendly staff said he was the boss and they couldn’t help! So we were forced to spend the next three hours in our car waiting for road to open while others enjoyed the pools. James has a bad case of Small Mans Complex!! Thanks for wasting our night. Definitely time for new management!!
