  • Great spot to enjoy a cold day or night. After dark is clothing optional. Different pools are different temperatures.  more »
  • First of all, no credit cards. Said only cash or checks, no cash on hand with no sat in the town's Wells Fargo ATM cash. $ 15 adults, $ 8 children over 3 years old. But the Spa itself is great. Temperatures are hot, so enjoy in Japan. That put together this hot child is even better. So much that kids are not allowed in most Hot springs and Hot tub. Early spring was so chilly and where the change of staff. It may be hard to even walk a little distance in a swimsuit. Beach sandals are required.

  • We had heard great things about the hot springs and we were not disappointed! A number of pools to choose from with varying temperatures. So relaxing and scenic. Bring your own towels unless you want ...  more »

  • One of the most wonderful places I have been in my whole life. We went after sun set. It was magical, the hot water, the steam, the stars, the trees surrounding the pools. It was like a dream. I would highly recommend it to who is looking for something new and special. Also try to plan in a way to stay at least one night in the area. Steamboat Town is a beautiful place as well.
  • I did not find that the staff was rude, like some of the past reviews that I had read before coming here. I have now been twice, once in the winter (November) and another time in June. I would actually recommend coming in the winter better. The pool was almost too hot for summer! We stayed in a large cabin in November for 2 nights and it was definitely a special weekend. The cabin was clean and very relaxing to be in. The heat was already on when we got there and it was plenty warm inside. Getting out of the pools in the winter is a memory I will have for a while (brrrrr). In the summer, we stayed at a campsite, which was nice as well - we were right by the flowing river. The only bad part was that we couldn't make a campfire at the campsite. Would definitely recommend Strawberry Park!
  • I feel obligated to leave a positive and accurate review, since a lot of these are complete nonsense. We rented a small cabin for a few days and it was very clean. The gas grill worked fine, and the private bathrooms were very nice. The attendant was nice (the non-Australian guy) and didn't give us any attitude or anything. From 10:30pm to 10am, people will be at the springs without any clothes, and, quite frankly, that's a fantastic rule. I suggest going naked at night and just watching the stars. During the day, obviously there will be families there, and the water will have a very apparent film of sunscreen floating on top, so really the best times to go are after dark and early in the morning when the water is crystal clear. Overall, I would suggest renting a cabin and taking advantage of the early morning and evening swim times.
  • Beautiful! Absolutely stunning pools. Not very hot if your into very hot hot springs but kid friendly which is nice. Changing rooms are pretty small but heated. The road it pretty ok. It's dirt, and steep, but not pitted and pretty smooth.
  • Beautiful! We loved the natural setting and variety of pools and temperatures. Be prepared for a short walk from the parking lot on a dirt road and lots of steps. The stairs into the pools are covered in slippery algae so water shoes would be a good idea. The bathrooms are also a short walk away and there are no showers. Go prepared and you won't be disappointed!
