  • Its takes about 4 or five minutes to walk from the ferry along the the water front to stop by and pay your respects to those who paid the price on 9/11. Lets not forget that freedom isn't free.  more »

  • It’s a must-visit for those visiting Staten Island, especially those arriving by ferry, as it’s only steps from the ferry station. The memorial pays tribute to the island’s locals who lost their lives during the 9/11 attacks, with their names inscribed in the two walls that seem to represent the two fallen towers.
  • A very simple and elegant memorial. There are a lot of seating spots along the water, as well as in the small park just behind the wings. A very quiet and relaxed place.
  • 11/18/15: Incredible structure to memorialize those lost on 9/11. It features silhouette faces of some that were lost, illuminated in a soft yellow light. It is particularly impressive at night. The structure is situated in a way that allows you to peer through the opening and see the location of where the Twin Towers stood out in the distance.
  • It is a good idea to take a free ferry from Manhattan and walk around here. It is also a place to remeber at 9/11...
