  • I finally visited here a few months ago. My family usually buys a few bottles of their dessert wine for me (I love it!) and I wanted to see where it was made. The property is very pretty, with a creek...  more »
  • This was a cute winery with a beautiful yard hosting a lot of different farm animals. The wine was pretty good, the staff was welcoming, everything was really personal (compared to some larger winerie...  more »
  • Lloyd was our pourer, and was delightful! Truly enjoyed all the wines, especially the Norton red! A lovely way to enjoy the afternoon.  more »

  • We had a lovely time visiting the farm and winery in April. The Ashtaroot is my favorite wine there. The folks there are warm and love to share their stories with visitors. It is worth the visit. Go.
  • Had a wonderful time here, great host with awesome wines, you HAVE to walk down to the creek, it's beautiful!
  • wine is OK, staff is nice, but the setting is pretty mediocre (at best)...there is a semi-decent tasting room, and the rest of the facility is a half kept "farm-ette". Oh, but if you are member of their wine club, you have access to a 100 sq ft porch covered with some plastic wrap...what a treat! If you are use to vineyards in Loudon, Charlottesville, etc., you will not be very impressed with this place..IMO...
  • Great wine & cheap tasting tour ($5). The people are some of the nicest I have ever met. They let us picnic in their vineyard and my wife got to stomp some grapes. It also seemed like a great place to if you have the kids with you. Wisteria might have to be an annual tradition.
  • Very friendly staff, great blends, and the grounds and surrounding scenery are beautiful!
