  • Government Island provides an excellent place to walk and view nature and some of the history of this area. The view of Aquia and the assorted wild life is worth the walk.  more »

  • Had a great time! Well maintained and dog friendly.
  • So beautiful historical experience and especially great for bikeing,, reattach staff.
  • Great place where you can relax in the afternoon, you can take your kids and dogs with you. It is a 1.6 miles so if you want to go for a jog I hope that if helps you, it has a creek on the side of the sidewalk which is really nice to see it it relaxes you.
