  • My 13 month old loved this place! My 8 year old was on the threshold of being to old for it though. We ended up spending about 4 hours here!  more »
  • This kids museum was fairly priced at $10 a person. More for the kids ages 6 and under, but my 8 year old. I enjoyed that it helps the imagination of children expand by having all sorts of activities ...  more »
  • You can easily spend a few hours at Great Explorations. I have two under 5 and both have plenty to keep themselves busy, which is hard to find most places. Watch Groupon for deals or get a membership.  more »

  • We signed up for the membership and for my family if 5 (we added a grandparent) with the special it cost 150 for the second level. The kids ages 2,8,10 all had a great time. I noticed I was there before and they made some changes to the exhibits so that is nice. I'm also looking forward to the discounts on other museums that I get.
  • Beautiful gardens with a shaded path. Winding path through four acres of property is just far enough to keep small feet interested in the unusual birds stationed through the gardens. Shade keeps the temperature tolerable even in July, but recommend long pants to deter mosquitoes.
  • We love this museum. Our son is currently attending the pre-school here and the teachers/staff are amazing. The curriculum is enriched with the museum's hands-on learning. He is always excited to tell me about his discoveries in Sunken Gardens, investigation in the classroom, and playtime in the museum itself. I could go on forever about the activities the kids participate in. He loves it and so do we! I highly recommend the museum and the pre-school to any family.
  • Our 7 year old goddaughter loved this hands on Museum. There was lots of staff who were constantly roving between venues assisting kids and putting away materials. She particularly liked the grocery store and the cave. There are many different building stations, a nurse area, a vet, climbing area, arts, etc. Great value.
  • A wonderful museum for children! Lots to do and see and touch! My children have attended summer camp here as well, which is the best of the best. Highly recommended Great Ex!
