Chihuly Collection houses the only permanent collection of artist Dale Chihuly, whose glass sculptures have graced the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Louvre. Highlights include the Ruby Red Icicle Chandelier, commissioned specifically for the museum, which hangs from the ceiling. With spikes poking out at all angles, the chandelier resembles a sea anemone. For an in-depth look at Chihuly’s work, take a tour led by one of the museum’s knowledgeable docents. You can buy a combination ticket, which will allow you to finish the experience by stopping by the Glass Studio & Hot Shop to watch glassblowers create new works. Our St. Petersburg trip itinerary maker app makes visiting Chihuly Collection and other St. Petersburg attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

  • We were very impressed with the collection. Many different styles of glass plus a nice movie that helps explain the artist’s approach to his work. Well worth the visit.

  • Nicely curated collection. I especially enjoyed the movie as it made me even more appreciative of the works on display. A small gift shop with books and some small pieces of glass are enjoyable also.....  more

  • Absolutely beautiful Museum and would highly recommend going. It’s an a buzzing part of town so the walk isn’t bad at all and the parking is pretty adequate. I would give it 10 stars if I could because the glass pieces were absolutely beautiful and we even took a couple home with us.
  • This is not your typical glass blowing display that you see at a flea market, lol. I had no idea what to expect. They have a nice audio accompany that goes into a little more detail in what you're looking at. You can walk through this and be done in 30 minutes if you want. But take your time and let yourself really appreciate what you're looking at. There is a very small theater room where you learn a lot more about what you just saw, and also learn a little about Dale Chihuly himself. A really nice way to spend a Sat afternoon, especially in the Florida heat!
  • Beautiful & well worth the trip but we would have enjoyed seeing more. It felt too short & too few in pieces. That said, the way each piece was displayed was amazing! I’m not a photographer but even I took great photos. Worth the $20 per person but would pay more if more pieces. Gift shop is very tiny.
  • I visit here is worth the relatively steep admissions price as long as you also see the glass blowing demonstration across the street at the Morean, which is included in the price. Beautiful creations by Chihuly in the main exhibit. They were out of his calendars though when I visited a few days ago (late December) which was a bummer. An overall enjoyable experience though I feel more can be done in the main exhibit area to enhance the experience.
  • First time visitor and I was impressed with the collection! My husband hates art and art museums and even he loved it. Some have complained that the price is a little steep, and it is but worth it for me. The staff there are very nice, I’m sure they’d offer a pay what you can deal if you asked.
