Where to stay in St. Petersburg

Waterfront hotels are popular with visitors on vacation, offering proximity to plenty of dining and nightlife options as well as the picturesque beaches. Those who want to immerse themselves in St. Pete’s bohemian scene should consider staying in the 600 Block Arts District or the Grand Central District. • BayWalk. What's in the name? History. I found my old photo of 2008 of the good old BayWalk when it was all bustling with cheerful crowds of people ready for 'bread and entertainment'. And BayWalk had ...  more »

  • After the well thought out and executed $35,000,000 redevelopment of "Bay Walk" the newly coined "Sun Dial" and it's fabulous selection of businesses and shops and restaurants, of course along with the movies, offers something wonderful for everyone right here in beautiful Downtown St. Pete, aka DTSP!!
  • Great stores with great people great views and delicious food with a top of the line the movie theater can't beat downtown expecially the club scene just a few blocks away
  • This is now the Sun Dial. Excellent restaurants, totally redone from when it was Baywalk - a great location - recommend Locale, Sea Salt, Ruth Chris' - very nice.
  • I love The Dish! It is my favorite place to eat and it is very casual but still a great place for a date. I recommend it to anyone! :) I got my husband hooked on it also! Heather in Tampa
  • I went to BayWalk with my boyfriend a few weeks ago for the summer wine and music series they had going on and had a wonderful time! We were hesitant to spend our Friday evening at BayWalk due to some of the poor reviews we've heard in the past, but didn't experience any safety concerns at all. The courtyard was packed with people all night and the music was great! We received our free glass of wine, got a delicious bite to eat at Gratzzi, then caught a movie. I would never question going to BayWalk with my family or friends in the future. Security seems to be tighter (theres a new 10pm curfew for kids under 21), and everyone there seemed to be having a good time. I'm already looking forward to next month's event!
