  • after vacillating between a regular tasting and a barrel cave tasting, we opted for the latter as it was promised to be a unique experience. Del Dotto held true to the promise. Though the decor of the...  more »
  • Good wine. Great snacks! Del Dotto is not for everyone. For me, it was a little over the top and cheesy (ambiance/Andrea Bocelli on repeat). Didn't feel like an authentic wine country experience. That...  more »
  • This is very different from your typical Napa Valley tasting. The estate if Venetian. Some would call gorgeous, others would call gaudy. Even the cave is decorated in Venetian style. It is always fun ...  more »

  • We LOVED our experience at Del Dotto! At first I felt $60 per person was too expensive, but Michael was our tour guide and he made the experience worth it! The majority of the wines are red, but we had some of the smoothest, most delicious Cabernet Sauvignon (and other variety wines) of our entire trip to Napa. Michael was very educational, and funny! And he handled a rowdy crowd in our tour group well. Even though the tour is only through one cave, we felt the experience of tasting wine directly from the barrel was unique and awesome! At the end we counted that we had sampled at least 10 different wines and the pours were generous. We came back later in the day to purchase a few bottles, and once again Michael was extremely helpful in choosing the right wines by talking with us and providing additional samples. We will definitely return!
  • Great tour, caves are worth the trip by themselves. Was a lot of fun trying the wines straight from the barrel. Definitely a unique place.
  • Cave tour was interesting and the pours were generous but the tour guide was just going through the motions. Get yourself a better guide and you'll have a five-star experience.
  • Very interesting architecture. The wine tour into the tunnel is fun. However, the property itself isn't huge and so don't expect to see a lot even with tours.
  • It's expensive but the pours are generous. Our guide was very informative and enjoyable.
