  • If you're looking to see the biggest cats in Florida you have to go to the Saint Augustine Wild Reserve! These cats are right in front of you! This is not like the zoo where you rarely ever see one. This is an amazing facility that is all not-for-profit, so don't expect a lavish location. This is run by people with love in their hearts and not enough money. If you love the effort to rescue exotic animals that were abused or used as pets, then visit and don't forget - Please donate!
  • Insane amount of big Lions here and will how close you are to them (and still feel safe). Volunteers give the tour and know there stuff. Watch out around one of the white tigers as they like to "spray" and given the distance you can stand around the cage someone is getting marked. Overall highly recommended!!!
  • Loved the animals that they were being rescued. Didn't like that the animals are in very smaller cages!! The cats looked like they were restless. I would have liked to see them put these animals in bigger space to roam in. Hated the fact that they're militant about guests taking a picture or two of animals at a safe distance. I was in the middle of using my phone halfway through the hot walking tour at 2 PM to text a friend and a son and the two assistants just wanted me to know phones were not allowed. If I can go to San Diego Wild Animal Park, world class San Diego Zoo, Busch Gardens and Disney's Animal Kingdom for a lot more entrance fees and exposure to wilder animals and be able to Take pictures, why is this wild game reserve not able to let paying guests take a pic or two. I think that the reason not very many people has heard of this is because they make it hard for guests to share photos of these awesome creatures. I know. They give you CD's. It's different when you can have pics of them from their natural setting. Not from a Cd. So I will not recommend it to friends because of the unfriendly atmosphere. Also, why would you give a walking tour on the hottest part of the day??? At 2 PM? Why not at 9AM when it's cooler? Again. I love the animals, I did not like the unfriendliness.
  • This place is incredible! By far the best experience I have ever had visiting wildlife. No zoo compares. You are practically face to face with the most beautiful animals; wolves, lions, tigers, leapords, bears. The volunteers are amazing. I can't wait to go back.
  • Amazing tour from an amazing staff who all VOLUNTEER their time and talents to keep this worthwhile reserve open. Very informative and intriguing. Wonderful animals.
