  • This is a typical tourist attraction by day with families and a large replica of a pirate ship with the crew of make believe pirates. We went on the evening cruise which is for adults only. The ship g...  more »
  • Took the afternoon sail on the Black Raven Pirate Ship, great not only for families, but also for adults. Wonderful crew, lively, entertaining way to spend the afternoon.  more »
  • The evening "adult" cruise was anything but. The pirate ship is basically made out of plywood, the "banter" of the crew slapstick, and the drinks over priced. Pass.  more »

  • My mom (62 years old) and myself (16 years old) both loved this little cruise ride. Went on a Thursday, and from the moment we got our tickets the staff was amazingly kind. Lady checking us out, who also played a pirate on the cruise, was hilarious and very personable. The cruise was a little late as they waited a few minutes beforehand to ensure it was safe as there had been a thunderstorm a few hours prior. We boarded the ship and from the get go the cast was amazing. It was so hilarious see the kids be taught to fight Captain Hook and the cast worked wonders with even the most shy children. They even managed to make it enjoyable for those of use who are older at the same time, which was a feat in and of itself.
  • I been on the show several times. Beautifully done. I personally witnessed the actors rehearse for the show once and I seen that they give it their best. I personally seen the love that they have for the show. They do their best on making sure that the kids enjoy the show. The singing and acting is amazing. They're all great but my favorite actor, well, actress, is Lady Red. I had some questions before and after the show and the actors been really friendly and attentive to my questions. And the lady who is usually the one who works at the Black Raven shop (her name is Grace) is very friendly and patiently answered all the questions I had in regards to attending their shows.
  • Greatest adventure at sea... loved the pirates and had a great time. The ship was superb.... who knows how to operate his vessel with the best of 'em. Great job by all aboard. I suggest you take the night cruise.
  • My family decided to try it out while we were on vacation. We'd seen the boat before our previous trip to St. Augustine and we wanted to try it out. My mom had a bit of difficulty in getting us on the boat, but it we worked out in the end. The actors were brilliant, they were really good at improv. There were beverages for adults and kids alike, and everyone was entertained. The kids got face paint and got to swordfight the actors. At the end all the kids got a mini treasure chest of plastic coins, necklaces, and skull rings and the actors threw more coins and etc. to the kids. Some kids were super nice and threw some of their coins to the kids who didn't get any, then everyone got to take pictures with the actors. It was super fun. I HIGHLY recommend putting on sunscreen. I was stupid, didn't put any on, and I got burnt to a crisp out on the water.
  • What a disappointment!!!¡¡¡¡ We went on their 4th of July cruise to see the fireworks, and after listening to some bad jokes, bad music, and stupid play acting for 2 hours, they parked the boat miles away from the fireworks near the Velano beach shoreline, where we got eaten up by mosquitoes. The whole reason I paid $75 a ticket was for a close up view of the fireworks from the water, as they advertise. If I wanted to be that far away I could have drove to Velano beach myself instead if dealing with the St Augustine traffic and crowds. I want to ask for my money back .... and the food sucked also.
