  • We visited this zoo for the first time last weekend and we all enjoyed it. It's small, but well kept. They had quite a nice variety of animals. (Cougars, penguins, tortoises, monkeys, Bald Eagles, etc...  more »
  • On our travels throughout the country we try to find anything to do with animals wherever we go. We love finding little gems like this. Sure it's not huge, and sure it doesn't have all the frills, but...  more »
  • An educational and fun place to take the kiddos to spend an afternoon. Has quite a variety of animals and even a playground! We enjoy this activity!

  • I go there and i got some like accept or sad about the plase.when i so the animal's they are so hungry look like. Nobody feed.them.no one has somthing to. Aet
  • It was kinds small but we are from Chicago so I guess other Zoo's have big shoes to fill. the penguins were very cute but we walked in on a woman petting one and I don't think they should be that close to the public. Most of the animals were not on display but the ones that were looked nice. Staff was friendly
  • There are not very many animals here at all. They are mostly animals you'd see at a farm. The rest are just monkeys. The kids hate this zoo because there aren't any lions or tigers or bears or sea lions or hippos I mean they are missing a lot. It's also a very small zoo and it's not worth the trip. It costs to get in and it's not worth it. My advise go to another zoo
  • This is a horrible place for animals to live. My kids were asking me why all the animals looked so sad. We observed animals in small enclosures, some all alone with no companion, looking very depressed, exhibiting pacing and in many cases having no appropriate habitat enhancement. I will never go back to this zoo and I hope they are shut down so that the animals will find a better home. Please do not support this zoo. It doesn't even deserve 1 star.
  • This zoo was absolutely horrible. Where does the money we pay go towards? STL Zoo is free and the animals always look so happy and well taken care of. In each cage at the Springfield zoo there was only a bucket of water. The cages are small and 90% of the animals did not even have a nice pond or water at the to bathe or cool off in. They looked miserably hot. These animals truly need to be placed somewhere else. It was not lively at all. I felt so bad.
