  • I wasn't even aware of the place but when I was searching for a place where I can take my kids for paddle boat, this came up. we reached there with not so high expectations and really had lot of fun. ...  more »
  • Was skipping down the short path from the main trail to a good fishing spot above the dam, when his large copperhead (see attached pic) stopped me dead in my tracks. Beautiful markings, but stepping o...  more »

  • I've been running loops around the wooded and shaded 4 mile mixed surface Lake Accotink trail for 12 years. Love it! The park is always clean, always feels safe. I've seen bald eagles, snapping turtles, deer and fox, I've kayaked, I've fished, my daughter has ridden the carousel with horses and played in the playground. Enjoy this nice resource.
  • A fine neighborhood park. It has become crowded on the weekends I the picnic and parking areas. If you want to go for a jog around the park, you are rarely interrupted. Good bike paths. With the crowds comes the trash. Several volunteer groups help pick up trash, bit more help is needed. Great for pets and families.
  • It's a beautiful place! You can rent a canoe, paddle boat $11/h , rent a bike for $10/h. There is a carousel, ice cream shop and a place where you can have lunch with your family or friends! Great place! I wish there would be an easier access from the road to get there!
  • Great park. I run here 3-4 days a week. Not too crowded. Beginner mountain bike trails. Rent paddle boats and kayaks on the weekends in the summer.
  • It's not open for riding paddle boats, canoes, or the carousel until summer. Parking can fill up quickly. Its also costly to rent event space. Otherwise the nature is lovely, the pathway is nicely kept the water is mostly clean for fishing but I would not advise eating what you catch.
