  • The museum is inside the Bass Pro shop. It’s a large museum and also has a separate room with bow and arrows. There’s lots and lots of guns and rifles to check out. To read it all and look at them all...  more »
  • The museum is inside the Bass Pro Shop store, but it is well curated. I was impressed with the displays and the history contained in them. The museum does a great job explaining how firearms have play...  more »
  • Interesting history of guns and shooting sports. Lots of great examples on display. Not a place for little kids or those who have no interest in firearms.  more »

  • Truly amazing how our American history can be traced through gun technology. The bow and archery section though smaller, is well worth the time. The guides are extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
  • I'm a longtime (20+ years) NRA member and now Patron Member, so I am obviously very supportive of the NRA as a whole. However, for the purposes of this review, I will only write about the Shooting Arms Museum and what it offers. Well, first of all, it's free to the public, for both members and non-members alike. Second, it's conveniently located inside Bass Pro Shops in Springfield, MO. They have a great collection of all types of firearms from cowboy guns to military to law enforcement and all the way back to the seventeenth century. Everything is presented with history and context.
  • Great Bass pro shop. Huge place. Full of museums both free and ones that cost. We did the free ones. Very interesting history on the fishing family that started Bass pro.
  • If you're interested in guns, this is the place to visit! It's free and located inside Bass Pro shop itself. Lots of steps to reach the doors... but otherwise, a wonderful museum of firearms. We took at least an hour just slowly walking through and still didn't see everything. A fantastic addition to Bass Pro.
  • Great little walk through even for people who aren't huge gun people. The history is very interesting
