  • You take a number. It was 1224 hrs. Let’s go look ammo. Wait. There is none. Unless you shoot odd ball stuff. No 9. No 380. No 556. Etc. While waiting. And people watching. I saw a old timer with a....  more »

  • I’ve been employed with the distribution center for 12 years, and I have seen a lot go on in that place, and it just keeps going down hill. I would not recommend anyone to work in that awful toxic environment. That place has an oppressive atmosphere and it doesn’t stop there. Your overworked because they are under staffed, because everyone that they hire quit in a 3 week time period. (High Turnover Rate). They have a rate system that is set so high that if you don’t make 100% or more in your first 90 days they get rid of you. You will walk into work asking yourself every day, “is this the day that there going to fire me?” Because of that pressure, you will have peers who go at it with one another, peers who will hide high rate from others , and peers who will shove you over just so they can make that rate. The higher-ups; those on first shift (in charge of the supervisors), never provide clear or realistic directions, and fails at making an effort to understand the needs of others. I have heard them say; “deal with it” when addressed with a problem. It’s very unprofessional, with poor management skills. It’s a sketchy workplace, so no one who works their is really secure, and I mean no one. Having security at Bass Pro Distribution has gone out the window.
  • Just don't like the Bass pro catfish buster pole any more. The thing snapped in half and bustered my fingers. But, love to look around and check out camping gear. Been to a lot of Bass pro shops. The one down by Birmingham , AL. has a nice drive before you get to the store.
  • I know several people who work there and it sounds like absolute hell. They are overworked, under staffed, are micromanaged over EVERY small thing they do. I was told by multiple people that they even have to put notes up explaining when they have to use the restroom. Some of the best people I know cry multiple times a day because their work load is unmanageable. I had a friend have to stay almost 5 hours after her shift ended and STILL did not get everything done. The next day they reprimanded her for not finishing it all. Is this a work house?! Nazi Germany?! SHAME ON YOU BASS PRO. Treat your employees like humans, not cattle. They are all looking for other jobs and they are some of the most reliable, hardworking people too. I seriously never want to shop there again, how they treat their employees makes me sick.
  • It's a awesome place to go and look around and kids love looking at the wildlife live and other things but don't let them sharpen your knives ate one of my nice blades up after the lady said she wouldn't I was very disappointed
  • Used to take my daughter there every weekend she loves that place
