Bass Pro Shops, Springfield

4.6
Find all the outdoor gear you need and see legendary weapons, such as Jesse James' revolver and Geronimo's handmade bow, at Bass Pro Shops. The store celebrates nature with indoor waterfalls, works of art, and aquariums that hold live fish and alligators. An enormous selection of hunting, fishing, and camping equipment is available, along with various services; you can have your favorite knife sharpened, pistol fixed, or scope sighted, and you can take in some target practice at the indoor archery or handgun range. Take a break from shopping to see a live fish-feeding show, and pay a visit to the store's two museums: the NRA National Sporting Arms Museum and the Archery Hall of Fame. • Went there to check out crossbows. They have several kinds and sales people have experience to offer advice. I wanted to know how hard they are to cock, so with a little paper work they took one off d...  more »
  • No need to put anything here. Just a great store with great atmosphere and merchandise. A place even the kids will enjoy.  more »
  • I am biased because I lived 2 blocks away from this, the original Bass Pro for several years. It’s a nice place with a decent restaurant, but it’s just a department store to me. They do have some nice...  more »

  • Amazing trip biggest bass pro in America. The fish show was interesting for children and the shopping was fairly high in price. They have a cheap and delicious coffee shop and alligators by the fishing area. Great trip for kids spent about 5 hours here. Could have spent 3 hour and been satisfied.
  • I do love this place. But, It would be nice to be able to walk in the front door without a timeshare being rammed down your throat. Then again on my way into the restroom.... Completely ruins the experience for a local non-tourist that just wants to get in, get my stuff, and get out.
  • Everything you need for the great outdoors all under one roof! This bass pro shop is by far the biggest I've ever been in and is in a league of it's own. From hunting to camping to fishing supplies and so much more they have it here. With all the attractions and trophies and fish it's almost like a museum where you can also buy sporting goods. I was here with the family and couldn't stop taking pictures of everything. I bought some fishing tackle and tackle box. We purchased other items as well and didn't realize we spent over 3 hours here. Please set aside time to try to see everything! It's truly an amazing place!
  • The Bass Pro Shop in Springfield, MO. is always a treat to visit. Parking is abundant, even during the summer, which gets very busy. The NRA has a great museum with guns and rifles from the past up to the present. Weapons are constantly changing so something new is always being added. I will share a secret us locals know. Park in the back parking lot located off of Cherokee St., which can be accessed off of Campbell. There is also a hidden gun range located on the lower floor. Ask an employee for directions since it is hard to find. Need ammo? Bass Pro usually has a large collection of ammo, usually with great pricing on popular bullets like 9mm. Enjoy your stay and welcome to Springfield, MO.
  • We always love stopping here. Plenty of friendly helpful staff. Not badly priced. The kids love the live exhibits and so do we. Would have given it 5 stars but this stop they have half the exhibits closed because they are under some construction for new exhibits until September 2017 and was solicited all 5 times we had to use the bathroom by the same sales booths trying to sell me a trip. I think the trips the sales booths were pushing were supported or maybe sponsored by Bass Pro but the sales people were pushy and after taking several different kiddos to the bathroom and myself (because yes we spend around 2 hours meandering exhibits) the sales guy 100% recognized me and it was just a joke.
