  • We stopped in for a walk. Lovely trails. Beautiful views of tree elbows sticking out from the swamp. Saw a beaver and some other wildlife.  more »
  • Tucked a bit out of the way, we drove 10+ miles to get to a decent sized town for groceries and general errands while out on the road. However, the nicely wooded sites and picnic pads with fire rings,...  more »

  • Tickfaw is open! They had some flood damage in 2016 but the park and campgrounds are back open for business. Had a great time kayaking down the bayou and observing wildlife. Park staff were very friendly and helpful, as always.
  • Go to the end of the drive and to the left is a half mile walk to the river. Fun thing is the entire walk is over a well built wooden elevated walkway. The is also a suspension bridge. In warmer weather is a splash pad
  • Fun canoeing. They do need more signs along the canal. A lot of turns are not marked.
  • Nothing too special unless you are really into walking on boardwalks through the swamp
  • The paths aren't very well kept, but the splash park is cool and the camp sites look nice. The canoe rental process is. . . Weird. If you have your own gear, this place is awesome.
