  • Hidden gem of the museums in Springfield. I toured with a school group and got the deluxe tour with living historians, but any visitor can appreciate the unbelievable artifacts from decades and campaigns. I would recommend this to anyone interested in Illinois' involvement in war.
  • Very cool chronology of war with uniforms, weapons, maps and more on display. Outside, there are some planes, helicopters, howitzers.
  • Small museum with interesting stuff. Santa Annas leg is put away.
  • Children LOVE the museum. If you either love history of weapons and wars, or your children have an odd fascination with weaponry, this is a good place for you.
  • Well done displays. Nice people there.
