  • For the size of Springfield as a city, this is a very nice zoo. Great cost. Small and intimate. Good variety of animals. Our kids loved it.
  • It's always been a bit run down, but this time was particularly bad. Several exhibits look like they've been demolished, likely for improvement but still. Unsightly. Most of the animals stay in a corner or in their sleep box, and while it's not unexpected (it's hot out) it's still disappointing that the most active animals are the obnoxious geese chasing children around. I attend the zoo only on free days, and for good reason.
  • Nice zoo for families with young children. Not big by any means, but that's what makes it good for kids.
  • Small zoo with a good variety of animals. Liked watching the tortuis and otter the most.
  • Loved the penguin right when you walk in, not a lot to the zoo, a bit smaller. Fun fora day trip if your a local or traveling to Springfield
