  • First of all, the Presidential Library is truly a research library. You may find an exhibit in the main lobby, but, unless you're a Lincoln scholar and/or avid researcher, the library's not an enterta...  more »
  • I highly recommend this museum; it is one of the best I have ever been to! President Lincoln's life is portrayed through a series of vignettes with lifelike wax figures. The election in which Lincoln ...  more »
  • The museum is state of the art. It was very good. Loved the two live presentations. Lots to see and read about. The library wasn't much to see but definitely go to the museum.  more »

  • A powerful experience. Very well done. I think I learned more in this visit than I did back in school. Baseball fans: be sure to visit the Illinois gallery for a lot of Cubs/Cards history, too.
  • This place is awesome & amazing! It will take at least 3 hours to go through the whole thing. Not only do they have amazingly detailed replicas and recreated moments of history, but they also have two really cool movies; one is holographic, and the other has an interactive quality to it.
  • As much as I liked the museum, the walking areas as you go through the exhibits are a bit tight with an average crowd occupancy. Overall it is worth the effort to visit the museum. I was a bit surprised at how some of the exhibits portrayed white people as evil rather than just present facts.
  • Contact these guys ahead of time and see if there are any displays they'll let you see. Very worth the time. They have books on literally every neighborhood and street in Illinois (and that's a TON of small towns to cover).
  • When people hear Springfield Illinois, most people think about Abraham Lincoln. The Abraham the Presidential Library and Museum is absolutely amazing! Just when I think what I just saw was the most amazing part, I take ten steps and find something else that's just as amazing. Well worth the admission price. It's definitely something you don't want to miss if you are in Springfield. . . I'm just thankful they don't have a limit to how many times you can visit, I need a frequent flyer card.
