Had a fabulous day with our guide Andy. The rappelling and zipline were adventurous and safe and the hike in and out of the canyon was beautiful. We even did a little 4wheeling to get there. Great day... read more »

My 10 year old son and I just had an amazing adventure with Zion Rock & Mountain Guides! I research multiple outfits before choosing them, and I was not disappointed. Our guide extraordinaire, Jack Towt, was absolutely amazing! He tailored our trip perfectly for the both of us. We were the beneficiaries of his years of wisdom and experience. I would highly recommend this outfit to anyone considering an outdoor adventure with friends or family! They will tailor the trip to your appetite for risk and adventure and create memories for a lifetime
For my 30th birthday I finally wanted to check something off my list that I have been wanting to do for ages--canyoneering. There could hardly be a better place for a canyoneering outing than Zion, so I started looking around for a guide company in the Springdale area to take my group out for a full day of canyoneering. I could not be happier that Zion Rock and Mountain Guides was the company to take us out. They responded to my inquiries quickly and informatively (one place I contacted never even responded), and were just a delight to work with. Our guide, Andy, was fantastic. We never felt unsafe under his guidance and he was extremely knowledgeable about the whole Zion area and was able to answer even our most random of questions. He did an excellent job of personalizing our trip to the experience, needs, and expectations of our whole group. When our trip started to run to the point when we "should" have started making our way out of the canyon, he was very accommodating in allowing us to decide if we wanted to do the last two repels and never pressured us to head back so that he could be done with us. I really appreciated how helpful he was about more than just our paid canyoneering trip and gave us information about our Narrows hike the following day and he did not pressure us to rent gear. I would recommend this company strongly, and I hope to get another chance to get out in the canyons with them!
We rented wetsuits, 5.10 canyoneers, and helmets to canynoeer in Zion. Very friendly and good price to rent gear. Before going up to Zion had talked with one of the guides over the phone and help direct my family to a Keyhole Canyon, good slot canyon. we had a blast.
We took a full day canyoneering trip with them this week. Our guide was amazing. We had never done this before and to be honest were a little frieked out. Mellisa was very reassuring and made us feel very safe. We had the most amazing time possible. If you are deciding which company to go with, stop, this is the place. After the trip the staff at the store were very helpful with advice and equipment for our next 2 days at zion.
These are some the best and most experienced guides there are in the area. We went on the canyoneering adventure to Short Canyon, UT and found the experience to be altogether great and most of all safe. Jake, our tour guide, was able to guide us out of the canyon safely despite there being a huge flash flood being present. He was very calm and collected in guiding us despite the rush to get out of the canyon. The overall rappelling and canyon experience was awesome despite it being short lived (due to rain). Some advice: Make sure that it is 100% dry the day you go canyoneering because the adventure can get quite easily become dangerous within minutes especially with flash floods. Recommendation: Short Canyon canyoneering adventure for inexperienced people
