Kayla was a lot of help here at Zion Outfitters! She encouraged us to rent the special moon boot looking shoes, wet suit socks and stick for the narrows. I have to say she was right about renting them! Our feet, ankles and life were saved and we got to go the whole way through the Narrows and back with no problems! $24 for the day not bad! Thank you Kayla!
They got one star only because they didn't have anything less. I just finished returning thier "hydro" boots and "dry" socks. Thier equipment is so old and unkept it is ridiculous. The dry socks were torn to the point that they were worse than having regular cotton socks. The boots let in so much sand, rocks and twigs so the point we had to stop remove our shoes and take everything out. On top of that they didnt know how to size us so we got the wrong size shoes, we kept insisting on different sizes but they kept telling us they knew what they were doing. I will never return to thier rentals again.
Unless you have plenty of funds, this place is not for you! The only thing we used these guys for was laundry thank goodness. The prices (to save other people from the rip off) for a wash was $4 and dry was $2.50. My parents left to do laundry after we did and found a different place down the road - $2.50 to wash AND dry, and double the washer size. Also, it was the most inhospitable wash facility I've ever been in. Tucked in the corner of the basement with just a handful of chairs. For the small fortune you pay for poor laundry facilities, you'd think they'd at least have wifi, right? Wrong. Not allowed to give out the pw, not even to paying customers. And don't even think about a shower - at $4 for 5 minutes, I hope you only plan on the basics. I'm SO glad we didn't book our canyoneering tour with these guys; I feel like we definitely missed a bullet with that one. The only reason they get 2 stars is because the staff was hlf way decent. Otherwise, save your money and hit up the other folks in town.
Rented the "warm weather package" for the Narrows. Quality is good but pricey. If you wan't to leave your shoes in the store, you need to rent a locker for 5$.
Showed up at 7:30 when they said they opened, no one was there. The sign on the door, online, and on the voicemail said 7:30am. Came back at 8am, still no one. Horrible reliability for this place
