Architectural Building Historic Site
Immerse yourself in the world of famed architect and designer Frank Lloyd Wright at Taliesin Preservation: Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center. Following Wright's design, the estate was completed in 1911 and served as his home for much of his adult life. The grounds and buildings embody Wright's visions, and this is the site where he conceived many of his projects and housed his collection of artwork. The estate is privately owned and accessible only during guided tours. You can choose from several different tours, including one-hour tours of the studio and theater to two-hour tours of the house and even lengthier ones of the entire estate. You can see the gardens, take in views from the cafe, and purchase everything from furniture to jewelry at the gift shop. It's highly recommended to book a tour online ahead of time due to limited space. Plan your visit to Taliesin Preservation: Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Spring Green vacation trip planner.

  • Taliesen is Frank Lloyd Wright's home that he built in the valley where he grew up. It is built into the side of a hill and fits perfectly into the natural surroundings, which was Wright's intention. It blends indoor and outdoor spaces in a way which is really quite breathtaking. In addition to his usual signature touches, such as earth tones and lots of wood and stone, he has his collection of Japans and Chinese art at Taliesen. The result is an American interpretation of an Asian home in the country. The tour fee is fairly expensive, but it is worth it, and it goes to preserving this great American treasure.
  • Great tour. Wright has a nack for additions. Must see. Our guide was amazing.
  • Awesome toured estate must see
  • Great gift shop and starting point for tours!
  • Visited here while on a business trip. It is one more Frank Lloyd Wright building under my belt. A little pricey but well worth it. The tour guide was knowledgeable and fun to listen to. All in all enjoyable if you are a fan of Architecture and Mr. Wright in particular.
