Riverfront Park, Spokane
(4.6/5 based on 1,400+ reviews on the web)
A public park, Riverfront Park spans 40 hectares (100 acres) and has features ranging from bike trails and walking paths, to a sculpture walk and IMAX theater. The park’s position along the Spokane River offers some of the best views of the falls. To see the falls close up, take a 15-minute ride in the SkyRide gondola. Get into nature on one of the many walking paths or by biking the Great Centennial Trail, which has access points from the park. Kids will love the many amusement rides, as well as the Looff Carrousel, which is over 100 years old and is featured on the National Register of Historic Places. You can finish off your day by grabbing a bite to eat at the Pavilion Cafe. Add Riverfront Park and other attractions to your Spokane trip itinerary using our Spokane trip builder.

  • My favorite urban experience used to be Seattle; it had a certain intimacy for a big city. I found that Spokane is so much better. I lived in Spokane and have become enchanted with the the Spokane Dow...  more »
  • I love this place but currently there is construction. Kids (0-gray) can watch duck and geese in the river, play on a gigantic red wagon, run under an artistic fountain (summer only) ice skate or ride...  more »
  • Many people have visited with my family, the scenery is very beautiful. Located within walking distance from downtown also is useful. Taking a walk in the nice weather and good feelings.

  • I love riverfront park! Might be biased due to all the happy childhood memories connected to it....but I just love it. Everything is fun and beautiful. The bridges are my favorite. The carrousel is historic. We come here most often for the Saturday morning races/fun runs that are often held here. Love it.
  • The Skyride is a reasonable price. So is the Looff Carrousel. Both are excellent attractions. The hours are of operation are a tad disappointing. The park is gorgeous though extremely well kept. No litter. The washroom we clean. It sucks that if there is some wind the skyride gets closed. We were here fall of 2013 and it was closed for the 3 days we were there due to wind.
  • One of my favorite places in Spokane. A beautiful park with tons to do! Shopping, history, IMAX, restaurants, the trail by the River, the Falls, a garbage eating goat... The list goes on and on! We are lucky to have this park in Spokane.
  • Super fun place to chill and stroll around. The bridges offer great photo ops and the park has a relaxed feel about it. There is also a small theme park during the summer months available to the public. Great place to hang out, bring the family, or just enjoy the day.
  • Under Major Construction - Research Closures before you go We visited and our daughters had a great time riding the carousel and grabbing the rings. They fed the "trash goat", walked around the bridges looking at the falls and slid down the large red wagon slide. Riverfront Park is starting a much needed major renovation to take place over the next few years. Make sure to research online what is closed before you visit. Visited August 2016
