  • I have been hiking this area for 7 years or so. I'm always pleased with it whether it's winter or summer. You can choose from a variety of trails varying in difficulty.  more »
  • We like this hike because we always see wildlife and its a harder hike when you reach the top to Rock (boulder) of Sharon. It s quiet and not as busy as some trails.  more »
  • We walked the trails on the Dishman Hills side off of Appleway. There are many trails to wander around on. There are no maps from the trailhead and I wished we had printed one off. So we just went...  more »

  • We went on a rainy day, and I got soaked. There's very little coverage to get out of the rain, but I didn't care. It was so amazing to watch these animals up close. You stand behind a fence that's about 5 feet from the animal's cage, and so close that you can hear them purring. Others have said that the cages are too small for these large animals, but they were pretty large...at least larger than I thought they'd be, and there's only one animal per enclosure. These people are doing their best to take care of these animals. The enclosures are clean and the animals look healthy. The staff are really friendly and willing to talk to you about the animals.
  • One of my favorite hikes close to town. Nice views of the valley on one side. It can be challenging but only took about 2 hours at a leisurely pace. Lots of people with dogs 😁🐕
  • We had a great time doing this hike. I would have given it a full 5 stars, but we got lost a few times before reaching the Rocks of Sharon. The first time we went he got on the wrong trail head and ended up at the radio towers and the second time we got part of the way without really knowing where we were going. There are no trail markers on one of the loop directions. The other route direction had easy to follow markers, but they were labbled with names I didn't recognize. I assume a lot of people go to see Rocks of Sharon,. It'd be ideal if trail markers were mark with that destination. The hike is beautiful and clean. We had a GREAT time.
  • Rocks of Sharon. One of the best "mild-moderate" hikes I've been on. We started and ended at the Stephens creek trail head. Took about 5 hours, we did stop to have our lunch, and took lots of pictures. The rock climbers in our group loved it and were super bummed they didn't bring their gear! We saw moose, snakes, and Chipmunks!!
  • I went on a hike up there with a bunch of friends! Great activity! The scenery was beautiful. If you go, just remember to bring water and wear good shoes. I'll just let the pictures do the rest of the talking.
