  • We went here for a rainy day activity. It was great. Ring the door bell and they will let you in. Loved it. We did the tasting first. I really enjoyed trying the gin they make. (I hate gin) they have ...  more »
  • Just outside the center of Sperryville, this place is a hoot! Looks like an old "hooch" farm, but what goes around comes around, and now that means a very well-thought out barley based operation makin...  more »
  • We had a wonderful time on our tour with Darcy. She is very knowledgeable and fun. The whisky is excellent. Looking forward to visiting their other location in Williamsburg.  more »
  • This is a cool distillery! They give free tours and offer cheap tastings and some unique bottles for purchase in their gift shop. The building is architecturally beautiful and historic as well. As of 05/2017, if you check in while you're there and/or post a picture, they will give you a small tumbler/tasting glass for FREE!
  • Cool atmosphere! Great people, informative and fun tour! Unique cocktails. Definitely recommend stopping by to check them out!
  • Great place to visit. The tour was fun and the tastings were great but the best spot is by the river out back...a slice of heaven
  • So this is my first Google review. And it's over a year late. I found copper fox while on an anniversary trip with my wife. We were checking out the local beer festival and just happened to let curiosity get the best of us when we saw an open flag on the building across from the pen druid brewery. Well when we walked up there was a basic hustle and bustle of forklifts loading trucks and what seemed to be the last place you would walk your wife into. However when we passed through the double doors we were instantly speechless as the smell hit us like a ten pounds hammer! Not a bad smell mind you! Quite the opposite! If you have ever taken in the smell of a well crafted whiskey when the glass is done. If you have ever sat and smelled an open fire burning cherry wood and the smoke that comes from it... or a wood stove making heat in a mountain cabin. Then you know the smell the unrelenting smell of cherry smoke and whiskey. The place was fantastic. If you get the chance to visit the distilerys you will remember it forever just like I have. Take a guess at my favorite drink? Anyway they have a full store and your and an amazing whiskey.
  • Expensive for a tasting, but decent product and knowledgeable staff. The building is pretty cool, but nothing special if you've toured other spirit distilleries in the US or abroad. The whiskeys are all decently tasty, I prefer a smoother drink that has less of an alcohol burn, and these are too young too fit that bill with, if I remember correctly, ages in the barrel of 12 months. The single malt reminded me of a spicier Macallan 12. It's worth a visit if you are a whisky buff.
