  • Wonderful on several levels, I love the beauty of the landscape and the monastery church. The monks sing wonderfully at their prayer times. The gift shop has a lot too not to mention the new beer.
  • I'm not sure why others come to the Abbey, but this place is such a wonderful, quiet, peaceful place to just take in nature and reflect. My son had his photos taken there. The stone monastery is strik...  more »
  • If you stop at the Abbey I would recommend arriving about 4 or 4:15 and visit the gift store. Jams are excellent. Then go to the chapel on the hill and listen to Vespers, on Sunday they Started at 5:1...  more »

  • Unfortunately, I think some of your jelly jams also did not find totally clean feet. I wish to stay over a few nights as I heard you can. Have gone there several times in my life to pray or watch monks pray starting with my mom and aunt taking me there as a youth. Beautiful store and rolling hills of peacefulness. One of my friends was scared sleeping over there. Nice store they fundraise with. One of the ways to worship God and his creation.
  • My partner and I just returned from a weekend at the Abbey. Father Dominic facilitated our retreat conferences. What a subtle reminder of the power of stillness and faith! I would encourage anyone who is seeking silence and meaning to make time for this extraordinary experience.
  • This is a very nice stop. Quiet and peaceful. I love their jams and new brewery. What a great way to keep this place going while providing a necessary service.
  • The presence of God.
  • Although I'm not of the Catholic religion, I used to frequent the Abbey. If you drive up to the chapel, it is a very peaceful place to get some thinking in.
