  • I am a local and we all know to watch during the Christmas season for the amazing lights at the Joseph Smith memorial to be hung. If you have someone from out of town with you, you will be glad you...

  • It is a treat to go to the Joseph Smith Memorial during the Christmas season. As you enter the drive, you see beautiful displays of lights. It is very peaceful as you tune into a radio station...

  • My dad and I are both atheists but we visited it together and found it fascinating. This is a wonderful example of a site that makes very little go a long way. The actual birthplace was a rough...

  • They had painting of Jesus up for Christmas and it was really really nice. Went through a short tour and discussion on Christ's life so that was nice. It was also only about 15 degrees outside, so they had picture books to explain the history of the monument that we could look at and learn about from the warmth of the visitor's center. I was happy about the whole experience.
  • Neat little off the beaten-path museum. Free. Immaculate grounds. Very informative visitors center. Ask any question and you'll get the knowledge. Interesting displays and paintings.
  • An enchanting visit even if we are not members of the Church. We felt very welcomed by the elders guides. No pressure and it is free !
  • Beautiful grounds... very nice and knowledgeable host. Not being lds, I would disagree with their take on the theology, but a nice place to visit.
  • Amazing place to feel of the spirit of God! Very humbling to stand where the great prophet Joseph Smith stood! It's my testimony that he was a prophet of God and has done so much so we can know who Jesus Christ truly is!
