  • Pope beach was great for my new hubby and I. It was a cooler day and we had a great spot with some lite shade and good sun. Very clean, and parking was easy.  more »
  • Crowded beach. $10 to park. Not much sand with high water. Nevada beach is better. Can walk to the Beacon restaurant and Camp Richardson Local prefer other beaches  more »
  • Loved this beach because of all the shade it offered. Decent parking. Situated to the right of Richardson's Beach which has a good restaurant The Beacon. You could walk to if you wanted.  more »

  • Very nice public beach at Lake Tahoe. It's managed by the National Park Service. Entrance costs $10. Parking was easy. The beach was clean, it was busy but not noisy (no ghetto blasters or other sound machines). The water was chilly. From the waterline the water gets deep very quickly: within a few meters it's neck deep. It was pretty hot, but thanks to the cold water there was a very pleasant breeze. We had a great afternoon.
  • Love this place, water was crystal clear and you can literally see your toes even if you are in the deep end to your neck. We went the first week of August and water was cold but tolerable enough to even out with the hot weather of high 80's. The sand is very fine and dark. They is an entrance fee of $10.00 for parking. There are also kayak rentals. We saw some cute ducks and their babies.
  • This is becoming one of my favorite beaches in Tahoe. It’s extremely clean, even the public restrooms are so well kept. The water on the beach is still almost as if you are looking at the glass. This beach is so clean, the water is clear and pristine. What I like most about it is that they have a long stretch of parking lot, every block has its own restroom. The location from the parking lot to the beach is so close by making it one of the most kids and family friendly beach I have ever been to. If you come midday... you’ll have the whole beach to yourself pretty much. When you do visit, please drop a few words and let me know what you like about it.
  • Best beach in lake Tahoe. People here sensible not to litter. If you are looking for a beach where you can swing and have group picnics, this is the place to be. Beach is full of trees, providing much needed shades during summer. No walkable restaurants available besides the beach. The nearest is around 2 miles. Restrooms are nice and clean. Ample parking space, try to park at the end of the lot. It's less crowded there on the beach. On weekends and holidays reach early to setup in nice spots.
  • This is a must see! This year, 2019, the water was much closer to the benches that previous years. You will need to get there early to get a good spot as this beach gets PACKED but will usually clear out again around 6pm. Bathrooms are clean and kept up, everyone is friends especially the geese. There is also a great little food truck with a diverse menu.
