  • Not a large museum, but lots to see and read in the main building. Especially enjoyed the history of the WWII aircraft carrier training, and the Northwest Airlines crash. Separate building houses 3 or...  more »

  • Museum is set up nicely. It was more my husband's thing than mine, but still nice to walk through and read. It is right on the water, so there is a beautiful view of the marina and parked boats. They ...  more »

  • This place is awesome! Tells you all about the sunken boats in Lake Michigan. Take trips on their very amazing boat Friends Good Will!
  • This is a great museum, take the time to book a trip on the Friends Good Will you won't be disappointed! Yes it's the one that looks like a pirate ship!!
  • We tried this museum to burn some time until lunch. It was a lot better than expected. We had a chance to get on the ship and had a personal tour with the captain. Our six year old loved it and it was very educational. We didn't do the boat tour because we just missed it and the next one wasn't for another hour and a half. Even the little museum area had a lot of great information about the Great Lakes and local ship wrecks.
  • Very interesting and well put together museum about Lake Michigan. Both indoor and outdoor exhibits ranging from ships down to pictorial displays. Not particularly disabled friendly.
  • Great Time. Yes, it's small, but then it's easy to see it all. The Coast Guard Rescue boats were of interest, but the several operating boats and the chance to take a ride on Lake Michigan or the Black River were nice. The Sloop, Friends Good Will, we enjoyed watching it sail, really motored in and out of harbor (sailed on the open lake). Then the electric boat of the 1930's and 40's took a nice cruise of South Havens harbor and up the Black River.
