  • What a place to remember the lives lost in the Johnstown flood. See a movie about the lives lost. Go down to where the dam was and picture the amount of water that was held by the dam. See what's...  more »
  • This was a spur of the moment stop and I must say that while I had heard of the Johnstown Flood but really knew very little about it. That all changed with my visit to the Johnstown Flood National...  more »
  • We were just passing through and decided to stop. The views and scenery were beautiful. The Ranger was very friendly and informative. If you have time it’s worth the wait to watch the video.  more »

  • Awesome visitors center with very helpful and friendly staff. Got there just in time for film. Beautiful little theater. Greusom story of the tragedy. Easy to get to. Don't follow GPS or Google maps they take you screwy route, follow the park signs and you'll hey there easy.
  • The exhibits were well done but it is a relatively small building and much of the information is repeated in the Johnstown museum. Worth it for the good view of where the dam stood and the vanished lake area and the survivor accounts of the flood. The movie was extremely dark, scary and creepy - do not take young or impressionable children in to watch!
  • This museum has an excellent and thorough history of the Johnstown flood. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The old lake and the private village are both visible from the observatory.
  • This Memorial has a lot of information shared in a variety of ways which keeps you interested. Very well organized.
  • A short pass through visit. It was a part of history that I'm not sure I remember being taught. So sad.
