Yankee Candle is a great place filled with wonderful "magic" and insures great memories that last and hold up. What does this mean? I went 10 years ago and the place hasn't really changed at all- is this good or bad? I'll let you decide. Whether you love making candles, candle shopping, food, purses or little Christmas decorations- Yankee Candle can provide you with all these things and more. When you first walk in there is a room dedicated to kitchen supplies things like food mixes, aprons, whisks, plates, etc. Followed by a room of candles, then decorations, then trees/ornaments, then wooden trinkets, then santa's work shop- which even despite it being March, Yankee Candle had an "official" Santa reading to the children that had been visiting that day. There were toys and spots to make candy, a place to grab food, a place for men to chill, more food stuff, etc. The only down side to Yankee Candles is that you get a whole lot of little stuff for a whole lot of money. Meaning if you go, expect to spend a lot of cash even if there are sales. It would be really easy to go in there and grab three things and still end up paying over 40 bucks. Place was clean, staff was nice, children were entertained. Can't really complain as my group kinda expected that we were going to spend quite a lot there.
Wonderful place to visit at any time of year, but especially during the fall and winter. They have their Christmas display year round, which will always get you into the holiday spirit, and you can buy many different unique ornaments year round. Overall the village has an enchanting old world feel to it. You can get a history of how candles were made, sometimes with a demonstration! Kids can also make their own candle (this is a very child friendly place and good for family outing). The village has an adorable General Store, space for local artisans to display their crafts, and some great deals on Yankee Candle products!
I had a pleasant experience. Beautiful place. I'm not sure how the customer service was, I haven't had much experience with customer service. Although my mom said that her friend quit working at Yankee because of the customer service. Despite that, beautiful building! And GREAT SANTA CLAUS!
This place is a New England Icon. A great place to spend a couple hours (or more). There are various themed rooms generally geared toward Christmas even one room where snow falls! Of course there are every variety Yankee Candles there and also many primitive and country products and foods for sale. There are also some activies for the kids there like making was molds of their hands.
Always a delight to come here. Love to see what has changed since last visit. Au bon pain is open in the food court and outside the main store. If you are looking for a little escape from the main store would recommend going to the restaurant outside. There is outdoor seating for the warmer weather.
