  • My wife and I toured the Caverns of Sonora on Monday, June 12, 2017. First piece of advice - drive to the caverns coming off of Interstate Highway 10 onto RM 1989. The caverns are a short six miles fr...  more »
  • We lucked out and we're the only two to show up for the final tour and it was spectacular. So many neat formations and a lovely guide who was a delight to have to show us this wonder. Who knew there w...  more »
  • We went with my mother and father-in-law. It was by far one of the most beautiful caves we've ever been in. The tour was only about 1 hour and 15 minutes, but we had about 11 people and moved pretty q...  more »

  • Touted as the best show cave on the planet and featuring many unique formations not found anywhere else, this was the most fascinating cave I've seen yet. I shot a handful of photos, but mostly enjoyed just looking at everything through my eyes instead of the lens, which is actually the best way since no photo would do justice to the amazing sights inside it. The guides were informative and entertaining and really know this cave like no other. This is an incredible experience if you are traveling I-10 through West Texas.
  • Amazing cave system. it's in the middle of no where, however that's part of why it's so great. The cave tour is amazing and you get to really enjoy the natural beauty. They stop enough for great photo opportunities and the gift shop has reasonable prices wares.
  • We stopped at this cave on a whim when driving from Austin to Big Bend and we're so glad we did! This is the most beautiful cavern I've seen in North America, and the hour+ exploration is well worth the $20 price. Our tour guide, Thomas, was knowledgable and fun- and his excitement for the cave and its formations was infectious. We'll definitely be back and hope to take advantage of the campgrounds next time. Thanks for an outstanding tour, Thomas!!
  • One of the best caverns I've ever seen. Such delicate formations! I'd return in a heartbeat. Almost magical.
  • Purchased tickets online saved a few bucks. Had to wait 1 for out tour to leave and it was worth it. The group is limited to about 10 which allowed everyone to enjoy the tour. Our guide a high school student was very informative and nice. There is a lot of walking but it was so beautiful no one complained. Will bring family back to see this cavern. Best cavern I've been to in the area.
