Located just 30 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, the 1,600-acre facility serves as the gateway to the beautiful Sonoma Wine Country.

The major event schedule, one of the most comprehensive in the country, will be highlighted by three of the top racing series in the country - the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series and IZOD IndyCar® Series. Sonoma raceways is quite a different track. Had hills and lots of turns but the best thing was the incredible backdrop, the hills of Sonoma Valley. What a fun and beautiful spot. Soooooo recommended!!  more »

Beautiful race track to visit... whether it's on a show or just passing by the place. We could go... see Auto testing... take photos and visit the gift shop. Very well maintained place.

This is a great place for nascar fans for sure. I really enjoy coming here. A few miss directions in handicap parking but not bad. The traffic to get there is very long and terrible. Should make an over pass to go into over to race track only. Other than that its a great time. Took my daughter this year and she had a blast.

Great venue. Bring good shoes if you plan on exploring. Lots of steep hills. There's a shuttle on race days but you really only need it to go from the grandstands to turn 7.

The courtesy staff here is the best! They love what they do and it shows. And that to the thrill of the races and you get a great day out with friends or family.

I always have a great time when I go to this speedway. Great food, great people, and of course, the amazing drivers and their cars and pit crews. WOW! I loved it.

This racetrack has it all. Professional racing, amateur racing, go kart racing, driving schools, you can race your own car, and much more! Awesome facility.

Where to stay in Sonoma

Prices for accommodations in Sonoma are often high. The hotels on or near the town square offer an unbeatable location for experiencing the city's many cultural delights, but you'll pay extra for the convenience. Properties located farther out are more economical and quiet, and provide easy access to Sonoma's stunning countryside. If you are planning a longer holiday, consider booking a vacation rental that feels like a home away from home.
