  • Upon my recent vacation to California to visit family, I learned that Sonoma Raceway was not too far from where you're staying. Being a race fan, all I wanted to do was see the racetrack. I knew was a long shot just showing up on a random day, but if I could see it from the highway that would be good enough. Once I arrived to the front gate the security guard was more than happy to let me drive around the service road to view the track. It was more than I could have expected. Are they able to drive around the service road review the entire track, while a race school is being taught. Thank you to the security guard who is super helpful
  • What an amazing track! I've been coming here over the years for races, car events and track days. It features a beautifully sculpted technically challenging road course, dragstrip, racing school and supporting businesses like race shop and cafe. My whole car club and I went to their show and shine car show that benefited Sonoma County Children's Charities. They also had drag racing which was awesome. Support your local track!
  • Went for my husband's birthday to see the vintage car race. The place was pretty empty, but I hear it's packed for Nascar and Indy races. They let you walk almost anywhere and you can see the cars up close in the Paddock and talk to drivers. Everyone was very nice. My only suggestion is to bring a picnic as the cafeteria food isn't anything to write home about and pretty expensive.
  • Nice track and decent facilities considering it's large size and the fact that it is not used that often. Large events (NASCAR, Indy Car etc.) make full use of the facilities. The large restrooms under the grandstand are worth the hike if you are up around turn 3-5 And want to avoid port-o-potty on a hot summer day.
  • Went to Indy races. Brought a 2yr old and a 5yr old. Had a great time. There were many things for the young kids and us oldsters to do prior to the race. Lots of great...and also some not so great food. Drinks start flowing at about 11AM, if you are so inclined, many were so inclined.
