As the first sparkling wine house in California’s Sonoma Carneros region, Gloria Ferrer Caves & Vineyards was established in 1986. Gloria Ferrer embodies Spanish winegrowing history, time-honored tradition, and centuries-old sustainable practices in creating exceptional sparkling and estate varietal wines blended to pair perfectly with food.

With most of our 335-acre estate dedicated to Pinot Noir, we are steadfast in our belief that this enigmatic variety brings a timeless grace to our sparkling and estate varietal wines. The Ferrer family’s culture of generosity is expressed in their commitment to high-quality, affordable wines for everyone to enjoy.

Celebrate Spain in Sonoma overlooking our Carneros estate vineyards.

  • We came September 4, 2022. We did not have a reservation (you should get a reservation, that'll give you better service). We were able to get a spot at the bar. See wine prices per glass / bottle attached, we also got a cheese platter. It was great, very tasty and fresh food options. Really liked the food, purchased Blanc de Blancs sparking wine. Very satisfied with what we could get without reservation. Will get a reservation next time to have a table with a view and nicer experience. It's a good idea to get to the place earlier because at 3 pm we literally got the last cheese platter, so food was scarce. Will definitely be coming back.
  • Our host Victor was excellent. He is down to earth and shares good insights on the wines. The winery is beautiful and we were fortunate to have a table overlooking the magnificent views. The staff is friendly and pleasant. We booked the classic tasting, then 2 of us upgraded to the next level tasting so we had a nice selection. The experience is very commercial so be prepared. There lots of tables and you can expect a crowd. We tasted in Napa and Sonoma and this was by far the largest and most commercial. I was surprised after ordering a case they did not waive even one tasting fee- be prepared. We liked the wines (as noted by ordering a case!) but they should waive if you order like that.
  • Absolutely stunning views, service, and bubbly. What a beautiful day we had in wine country. I recommend earlier in the day on a sunny day!
  • The wine was good and it had a beautiful view, but they should offer free snacks for wine pairing. This was the most expensive stop on our wine tour of 3 stops, but offered the least interaction and amenities. In hindsight, I'd choose a different stop.
  • Always a fave when we’re in the area. Excellent wines, excellent service, and the views are phenomenal.
