Carneros Brewing Company, Sonoma

4.4
#9 of 14 in Nightlife in Sonoma County
The Carneros Brewing Company is one of only three Latino-owned breweries in the United States out of about 2,500. The microbrewery was founded by brothers Jesus, Pedro, Armando and Manuel Ceja and their families. They are Mexican-American immigrants from the states of Michoacán and Jalisco.

The company produces handcrafted Jefeweizen, Morena Ale, Cerveza Pilsner, Carneros IPA and Negra IPA using the best ingredients and the hops grown at the brewery in Sonoma. The Carneros Brewing Company invites you to visit the brewery and taproom to sample their refreshing brews. The adjacent sprawling beer garden around the pond is also great for picnics and offers lovely views of the Carneros countryside.

  • Really enjoyed our strop here on the way up to our Napa Hotel. Great beers on tap--tried a flight of five or six, has some cheese/crackers and played a little indoor shuffleboard. Well worth the stop ...  more »
  • This little brewery has a nice variety, giving their own spin on various beers. I had their Jefeweizen, which was an excellent representation of the style. But their seasonal Triple IPA was absolutely...  more »
  • We stopped in here out of curiosity and were delighted to find a working brewery serving a very wide variety of beers in a lovely setting. We chose the sampler route of six beers per pair. It was very...  more »

  • This place rocks. The beer was excellent, and I mean excellent. I enjoy lighter beers and they had quite a few options all of which had great flavors. The employees were friendly and helpful, and the indoor atmosphere was cool. What really helps this place shine is that the outdoor area is gorgeous, and had plenty of tables and chairs in shaded locations. And they will even bring your beer out to you! It rocks. I'd definitely go here again, I'd even go a little out of my way to get here.
  • Decent brewery, great outside conversation area with games to enjoy. We tried a few beer flights and headed to the next winery stop.
  • Excellent and knowledgeable service. 11 beer taster. Winery in same lot. Beautiful brewery landscape with Rams and a pond. Shaded drinking area outdoors. Love it. Blood Orange sour and la loca porter sour are the best.
  • Blood orange beer and blueberry wheat were amazing! Cool grounds too.
  • Super friendly service. Great outdoor space to enjoy the sun and drink a beer.

Where to stay in Sonoma

Prices for accommodations in Sonoma are often high. The hotels on or near the town square offer an unbeatable location for experiencing the city's many cultural delights, but you'll pay extra for the convenience. Properties located farther out are more economical and quiet, and provide easy access to Sonoma's stunning countryside. If you are planning a longer holiday, consider booking a vacation rental that feels like a home away from home.
