Where to stay in Sonoma

Prices for accommodations in Sonoma are often high. The hotels on or near the town square offer an unbeatable location for experiencing the city's many cultural delights, but you'll pay extra for the convenience. Properties located farther out are more economical and quiet, and provide easy access to Sonoma's stunning countryside. If you are planning a longer holiday, consider booking a vacation rental that feels like a home away from home.

  • This is such a sweet little winery. We just visited and Kit walked us through the wine tasting, telling us stories about the history of the place as well as her experience with Bartholomew. If you're looking for a homey place to enjoy some wine, this is it. It also has a beautiful view if you walk out a bit from the house. Definitely visit here! The tasting is currently only ten dollars for one person too, so that's a plus. We love Kit. We're definitely coming back.
  • Visited on a Monday so had a chance to speak with the very friendly and entertaining staff. I enjoyed their white wines (Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay) more than the reds. Grounds are stunning and perfect for picnic.
  • Great hikes, lots of picnicking grounds, clean outdoor bathrooms, and decent wines for tasting. Great spot to bring lunch, the kids, the dog, and enjoy the Sonoma sunshine.
  • Winery is located in a beautiful park on the hill where you can have best walks and hikes in Sonoma. At the place you can taste 6 wines for $10 while having great conversation on wine with very friendly staff. Highly recommended. The best winery that we visited in Sonoma.
  • Great secluded spot for a relaxing time. Their Syrah was awesome.
